The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser light and converts the light to heat. The heat, in turn, damages the follicle and destroys its ability to re-grow.

Lightsheer™ Diode
Your skin is compressed and cooled during and after each laser pulse. This protects your skin and makes treatments more comfortable. It also avoids the need for messy and sticky gels on the skin. Discomfort is unlikely to be experienced, but we can offer safe and effective topical anaesthetic if you require it.
Lumenis IPL Quantum Platform
This is one of the best IPL platforms produced by the market leaders in aesthetic dermatology. It offers our customers a proven method for achieving hair removal and permanent hair reduction and for treating pseudo folliculitis barbae.

Skin Care Network is registered with the Care Quality Commission.
- Our patients and practitioners wear eye protection specific to the laser wavelength being used
- After each patient we disinfect all parts of the laser that come into contact with the skin
- You will have your own laser cover which you take home and look after so there is no risk of cross-infection
- All our equipment and rooms are maintained for the highest safety standards
- Our practitioners are trained in laser safety and they keep their knowledge updated with regular courses
- We have a Laser Protection Adviser who is responsible for our compliance in health and safety issues
We test patch your skin and, provided there is no reaction, we begin treatment two weeks later and monthly thereafter.
