Howard Peter Stevens
MA (Oxon), MBBS, FRCP, PhD. (Lond)
Dr Stevens is a respected consultant dermatologist, surgeon and founder of Skin Care Network. His special interest in skin cancer is valuable to our patients, along with his work on non invasive screening and diagnosis, from mole mapping to advanced microscopy.
After studying medicine at Jesus College Oxford, Dr Stevens trained as a consultant dermatologist at the Royal Free and Royal London Hospitals. He was awarded a Wellcome Research Fellowship, to research genetic skin disease of the hair, nails, palms and soles.
This study yielded significant value, including the first known gene to cause hereditary deafness. After completing his research, Dr Stevens was appointed as a consultant at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust, where he helped build one of the largest skin cancer centres in the country.
Whilst continuing to lead the team there, he has made our clinic an exceptional facility for skin cancer treatment. His major interest in dermatologic and plastic surgery, for adults, or children is reflected in his recognition as a Mohs surgeon.
The skills Dr Stevens brings to our clinics are rare in the sector, although another factor is as important. The treatment he offers is led by his ability to communicate with and empathise with patients, the best route to a positive outcome.
Dr Palamaras is Head of Dermatology at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and a consultant at Queen’s Hospital in Romford. His special interests in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer and laser surgery, run alongside a unique knowledge of hair, or nail disorders.
The time Dr Palmaras spent in Bologna, with the world renowned expert Professor Antonella Tosti, adds to this knowledge. He is also one of the few consultants to have undergone training in dermatologic, Mohs and laser surgery at St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London.
Sharing his knowledge has always been important for Dr Palmaras. Through posts such as Honorary Mohs and Laser Consultant Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas, or the publication of a significant number of articles in peer reviewed medical journals.
Dr Palamaras speaks fluent English, Greek and Italian, part of the communication skills he feels are so important. He puts particular emphasis on maintaining the utmost respect for his patients, wishing to have them involved in and fully informed about all aspects of their care.
Nachappan S Murali
MBBS MD DD DNB MNAMS
Dr Murali is a consultant at The Hillingdon Hospital in London, with international experience in dermatology. He takes a special interest in paediatric dermatology, male genital skin diseases, small scale medical, or aesthetic surgical procedures and treatment for hyperhidrosis.
His wide knowledge began with a post graduate specialisation in dermatology at the prestigious Christian Medical College, in Vellore. His skills developing through treating a range of skin conditions, in varying environments and countries.
Knowledge Dr Murali is happy to share, by producing valuable clinical guides. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College in London, teaching medical students on a regular basis.
Of equal importance is the care he brings to our clinics. A London dermatologist needs wide experience, to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment. Dr Murali delivers this with professionalism and passion for his field, the health of his patients always his first concern.
Dr Peter McDermott
MA MB.BChir. BDS FDSRCS FRCS
Dr McDermott is a consultant maxillofacial surgeon, with a special interest in the reconstruction of facial tissue, following trauma, congenital deformity, or cancer. His skill in cosmetic reconstruction of facial defects caused by skin diseases is of immense value to our patients.
Having qualified as a dental surgeon at Guy’s Hospital, Dr McDermott subsequently studied medicine at Cambridge University, qualifying as a doctor. This dual status confers a profound understanding of the function and structure of the facial skeleton, or overlying tissues.
Including surgical fellowships from The Royal Colleges of Surgeons of London and Edinburgh, Dr McDermott has 20 years experience as a consultant. Underpinned by training at leading centres, such as University College London, Great Ormond St and The Plastic & Maxillofacial Unit at Mount Vernon.
Sharing this knowledge through professional bodies helps his colleagues, although the life changing treatment Dr McDermott offers as a volunteer with medical charities overseas is equally valuable. Part of a natural care for people which leads all his work.
Dr. Robles is an experienced consultant dermatologist, with a special interest in the use of lasers in dermatology. Embracing this technology has been key to the success of our clinics and brought remarkable benefit to patients with a range of skin conditions, or aesthetic needs.
Following five years as Lead Clinician in the dermatology department of Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals, Dr Robles was appointed Clinical Director for Speciality Medicine. She also shares her skills as a senior lecturer in dermatology at St. Johns Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas Hospital in London.
An active member of The British Association of Dermatologists and other leading bodies, Dr Robles part in taking dermatology forward has made a difference. The value she continues to bring to our patients matters equally, along with an exceptional level of personal care.

Dr Mansoor is a consultant with over 20 years experience in dermatology, who brings valuable specialist knowledge to Skin Care Network. On facial rejuvenation techniques, advanced skin cancer surgery, treatment for acne and correcting skin damage caused by scarring.
After studying at St.John’s Institute of Dermatology, Dr Mansoor undertook specialist training in oncologic and cosmetic dermatological surgery in Europe and the USA. He is a rare holder of triple board certification in anti ageing medicine.
Sharing his skills on ageing is valuable to patients and his profession. Dr Mansoor regularly runs courses on botox, filler injections, skin peels, along with lecturing internationally on facial rejuvenation and supporting professional bodies.
Dr. Mansoor has consulted at Imperial and University London College Hospitals, now a consultant at The Royal Free London NHS Foundation, alongside his time at our clinics. His dermatological and aesthetic skills enhanced by the natural rapport he builds with patients.
Mrs Sabrina Shah-Desai

Sabrina Shah-Desai is an accredited ophthalmologist, specialising in ophthalmic plastic reconstructive surgery. Beyond the knowledge she brings to us on eye conditions and related areas, Sabrina takes a significant interest in the wider field of facial rejuvenation.
Following oculoplastic fellowship training at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, Sabrina worked in their prestigious adnexal unit. Further specialist training at the Queen Victoria and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals focused on eyelid & facial aesthetic surgery.
Now heading the oculoplastics division at Queens Hospital, Sabrina offers a specialist eyelid & lacrimal service, to adults, or children. She is also a keen educator, runs a training lab, frequently lectures at national, or international meetings and is often published in peer reviewed journals.
The skills Sabrina brings to Skin Care Network fit ideally with our ethos of medical and cosmetic skin care being in synergy. Helping our patients benefit from both, with their health at the centre of decisions.

Alongside supporting patients at Skin Care Network, Dr Macedo is a Consultant Dermatologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. A leading London teaching hospital, with both an in house and community dermatology service.
Dr Macedo spent 5 years running community dermatology and built valuable relationships with primary care providers in our area. Her specialist skills an asset to them.
They include a focus on diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, or precancers. Dr Macedo also runs specialist clinics in inflammatory dermatoses, such as eczema, psoriasis, urticaria and acne.
She has a keen interest in teledermatology, speeding up specialist diagnosis by sending digital images. Dr Macedo’s innovative approach is shared with professional bodies she belongs to, The British Association of Dermatologists, Royal College of Physicians and Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr Mann is a Consultant Dermatologist and surgeon, leading the skin cancer and research teams at Basildon & Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest dermatology departments in the UK.
After studying medicine at University College London, he undertook postgraduate training in London and Kent, before specialising in dermatology. Further training included a Mohs micrographic surgery and laser fellowship at the renowned St John’s Institute.
Alongside experience in general dermatology, Dr Mann’s specialist skills are welcomed by Skin Care Network patients. Preventing as well as treating skin cancer, through skin, or mole screening, or mole removal and helping to improve sun damaged skin.
A natural fit for a skin cancer specialist, who shares his knowledge. By teaching other dermatologists about skin disease and skin surgery, along with publishing significant articles in medical journals.
Dr Mann is equally supportive of professional bodies he belongs to, such as The Royal College of Physicians and Royal Society of Medicine. More importantly, he is supportive of patients and believes in treating each person as the unique individual they are.

Along with supporting Skin Care Network patients, Dr Shelley is a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He is their lead for photodynamic therapy and Mohs surgery, a skin cancer specialist.
After qualifying from Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Medical Schools in London, Dr Shelley underwent training at St. John’s Institute for Dermatology and King’s College Hospital, followed by a two year fellowship training program in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
A respected dermatology professional, Dr Shelley is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and member of The Royal College of Physicians, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Royal Society of Medicine and Royal Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
His expertise in general dermatology and infectious skin diseases in particular add to specialist skills. The care he offers patients is thorough and always provided to meet their individual needs.
Dr Joseph N El-Jabbour
Dr El-Jabbour is our consultant cellular pathologist, from the branch of medicine which analyses body organs and tissues. For specialist techniques such as Mohs surgery, or many other treatments, the diagnostic and research aspects of dermatology are a vital part of success.
With 22 years experience in pathology, 12 years at consultant level, Dr El-Jabbour’s skills are immensely valuable. He has worked in the NHS and private sector, along with helping found Cellular Pathology Services, a respected independent laboratory.
The techniques developed there build on the delivery of IT and pathology services he led at other hospitals. Dr El-Jabbour has also represented hospital trusts on modernization boards for IT in pathology.
The diagnostic skills and practical expertise he brings to Skin Care Network are a cornerstone of our support to patients. The latest science should mix with good care, to ensure the best possible outcome for all our patients.
