At Skin Care Network we offer our patients treatment by trained consultant Dermatologists and Dermatology Nurses rather than beauticians and aestheticians. We believe that nothing can compare to the experience of a trained Consultant Dermatologist when it comes to skin care treatments.
You can see from our biographies that our experts have all completed Dermatology training in the UK and we continue to study and teach in our specialities. We hold a number of posts in NHS and private sector hospitals as well as at Skin Care Network.
Dr Stevens studied medicine at Jesus College Oxford University and was trained as a Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free and Royal London Hospitals. He was awarded a Wellcome research Fellowship and did research into genetic skin disease of the hair, nails, palms and soles. The research identified a number of novel mutations including the first gene to cause hereditary deafness in humans. After completing his research at the Royal London Dr Stevens was appointed as a consultant Dermatologist at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust where he has helped build the Trust into the largest Skin Cancer treatment Centre in London and the sixth largest in the country. He is currently the Skin Cancer Lead for Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. Dr Stevens has a major interest in Dermatologically surgery in adults and children and is a trained Mohs surgeon. Since becoming a consultant Dr Stevens has maintained his interest in general Dermatology. He also has an interest in genital skin disease and runs a male genital skin disease clinic.
Dr Stevens is the "Responsible person and founder of Skin Care Network", he has a special interest in Skin Cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery.
Dr Robles was Lead Clinician at the Dermatology Department in Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals for over 5 years before being appointed Clinical Director for Speciality Medicine. Dr. Robles is a Senior lecturer in Dermatology at St. Johns Institute of Dermatology at St Thomas Hospital in London.
Dr. Robles is especially interested in laser work within the field of Dermatology.
Dr Palamaras is a Consultant Dermatologist and the Lead Clinician for Mohs micrographic surgery at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust Hospitals. He is also Honorary Mohs and Laser Consultant Surgeon at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
He is one of the few Consultants in the country that has undergone specialty training in Mohs micrographic and Laser surgery at the prominent Dermatological Surgery and Laser Unit of St John’s Institute of Dermatology in London, UK.
He also trained in hair and nail disorders with the world-renowned expert Professor Antonella Tosti in Bologna, Italy.
Dr Palamaras gained his PhD in Dermatology with distinction at the Medical School of the University of Athens and has a strong academic link with the University of Hertfordshire where he is a Visiting Lecturer.
Dr Palamaras speaks fluent English, Greek (mother tongue) and Italian and has excellent communication skills. He has an approachable demeanour and he puts particular emphasis on maintaining the utmost respect for his patients. He always endeavours to have his patients involved and fully informed in all aspects of their care.
To date he has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr Palamaras' special interests are in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, Laser surgery, hair and nail problems.
Dr Mansoor started his career in Dermatology 20 years ago and comes today with a wealth of experience in treating all skin types. Dr Mansoor completed his training at St.John's Institute of Dermatology and in the Oxford region, and then undertook his super-specialisation in Oncologic and Cosmetic Dermatological Surgery by training in USA and Europe. Dr. Mansoor worked at Imperial and University London College Hospitals and is now a Consultant Dermatologist at Barnet Hospital. He is currently the only physician with triple board certification in Anti-Ageing Medicine. Dr. Mansoor provides comprehensive and holistic dermatology, skin cancer and cosmetic surgery treatments. He regularly runs courses on botulinum toxin, filler injections and peels, lectures on facial rejuvenation in international meetings, and plays an active role in dermatological professional bodies.
Dr Mansoor has a special interest in acne, non-surgical cosmetic injections, facial rejuvenation, advanced skin cancer surgery and scar correction.
Dr Murali is a Consultant Dermatologist at the Hillingdon Hospital , Uxbridge and is also the Honorary Senior lecturer for Imperial College London and teaches medical students on a regular basis.
Dr Murali did his post graduate specialisation in dermatology at the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and has worked as a Consultant in India before coming to the UK .
Dr Murali has wide experience in treating all skin types and is a general dermatologist with special interest in Paediatric dermatology, male genital skin diseases, minor surgical procedures and botox treatment for hyperhidrosis.
Dr. Murali Nachappa currently works as a Consultant Dermatologist at The Hillingdon Hospital in London.
Dr Choczaj-Kukula trained and certified in dermatology and venereology in Poland (specialty exams passed with distinction). She has over 20 years of experience in dermatology, including 10 years working as a Consultant and Assistant Professor in Teaching Dermatology Hospital in Lodz, Poland.
Dr Choczaj-Kukula has full GMC registration in the UK since 2005 and she is on the Dermatology Specialist Register (GMC). She has been working for six years in the dermatology field in leading hospitals in London including St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Royal Free Hospital and Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals.
She is currently employed as a Locum Consultant at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals and she is responsible for the Difficult Psoriasis and Biologics Clinic. She is an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Free Hospital.
Her research in the field of Connective Tissue Diseases was completed with a PhD (awarded with distinction in 2000). She is author of over 20 publications in scientific journals and of three sections in the world renowned online textbook E-Medicine. Dr Choczaj-Kukula is a member of The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the American Academy of Dermatology and the British Association of Dermatologists.
Apart from General Dermatology, Dr Choczaj-Kukula has a special interest in Psoriasis, Autoimmune Diseases and Skin Cancer.
Dr Mat-Ali graduated from Nottingham University as Bachelor of Science (BSc) in 1995, then Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) in 1997. He developed an interest in paediatrics in 1998 and conducted his specialist training in London at The Royal London Hospital, The Homerton University Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and St Georges Hospital. Subspecialist training was performed at Southampton University Hospital in neonatal medicine, paediatric intensive care and cardiac ultrasound. He was appointed as a consultant paediatrician in London in 2006.
His clinical interests are infant health, paediatric allergy, neonatal medicine and paediatric cardiac ultrasound scans. Dr Mat-Ali has presented his research at national and international meetings and has given invited lectures in Moscow and Turkey.
Dr Mat-Ali also teaches at undergraduate and post-graduate level at the Imperial College Medical School.
Dr Grover is a Consultant Physician in Sexual health and HIV infection and works at both Barnet General Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. She has over 12 years experience in the diagnosis and treatment of people with Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV. She trained as a Specialist Registrar at the Mortimer Market Centre University College Hospital, London.
Her main research interests are the sexual health care of HIV positive patients, including screening for anal cancer in HIV positive men who have sex with men and HIV testing for vulnerable groups
She also works closely with the dermatologists at Barnet General providing a Genital Dermatosis service.
Mrs Schlezinger is a Specialist Paediatric Allergy Dietitian with specialist interest in food allergies and intolerance in infants and children. Mrs Schlezinger qualified from King’s College, London in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She trained at University College London Hospital and is a practising NHS registered Paediatric Dietitian at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital NHS Trust, where she specialises in paediatric allergy.
She has extensive experience of the complex feeding problems in children and infants and has worked in both primary care and hospital settings.
