Skin Lesions, Lumps & Bumps

It is important that skin lumps bumps and blemishes are properly diagnosed by a Dermatologist as unfortunately skin cancer and precancerous lesions can look quite bland or even innocent. Other lesions such as seborrhoeic warts or simple angiomas (benign blood vessel tumours: small, red, circular lesions that develop with age) can be easy to diagnose even by an unqualified beautician.
Lesions can also be pre-cancerous so any one that is brown (pigmented) and that changes in colour or shape should be investigated quickly. Go to your GP or make an appointment with us as soon as you can. Otherwise, if the lesion is benign or you are post-cancer treatment, we offer a number of treatments for removal.

Treatments

The treatment options available vary depending on the nature of the problem and your Dermatologist could recommend surgical excision or a non invasive treatment such as cryosurgery or laser treatment. Skin cancers require specialist treatment with a variety of surgical and non surgical techniques, including creams to completely eradicate the tumour.

Our Dermatologists are also trained in the full range of plastic surgical techniques for skin surgery.
