Nail Disorders
Nails are an important focal point for many women and we don’t generally associate them with illness and disease. However there are a number of conditions that can affect our nails including ingrown, fungal infections discoloured and mis-shaped nails. The cause is often fungal infection or injury, but there can be an underlying disease.
Treatments
Our Dermatologists are able to diagnose and treat the cause of your nail problem with the use of investigations looking for fungal and inflammatory diseases. Unfortunately many people find that their nail problems fail to improve with treatment. At Skin Care Network we recognise the importance of proper diagnosis and treatment in improving and restoring proper nail health. In addition Dermatologists are able to identify worrying pigment change in your nails which may be a sign of an underlying malignant melanoma (skin cancer).
